The Rochester Jamaican Organization commemorated Jamaica’s 45th year of independence with a Gale July 27, 2007. at the Clarion  Riverside Hotel, The theme of the Gala was “Our Legacy”. Speaker Dr. Basil K. Bryan, Jamaica's Consul General to New York, Entertainment by, A.J. Brown & Bonafide Band.  a movie was shown  highlighting the contributions of  Jamaicans here in the Greater Rochester community.
